History of Iksan

fertile plain spreads with hills and big river. Iksan borders on Nonsan-gun
Chungnam divided by Geum River in the north, Okgu Plain in the west,
and Gimje Plain in the south divided by Mangyeong River. Iksan embraces
Yellow Sea, Okgu Plain and Geumman Plain like mother.
Honam Line, Jeolla Line and Gunsan Line go through the
center of city. Honam expressway starts at the entrance of
Geumma. Iksan boats sound traffic network with more
than 10 national roads including No.1 national road,
No.23 national road and country roads that lead to
all part of Korea. Iksan is also a hub of transportation
and logistics of Korea and boasts heavy floating population.
Number of tourists visiting the largest jewelry complex
in Korea is increasing annually.
